Why Send-iMali?

What is Send-iMali?

Nedbank Send-iMali is a solution that allows you to send money to anyone with a valid South African cellphone number. The recipient can then withdraw the funds at any Nedbank ATM.

How can Send-iMali benefit your business?

With Send-iMali you can pay salaries and wages, up to R4 000 per transaction, to employees who don’t necessarily have a bank account but do have a valid South African cellphone number. You can also use it to send money in an emergency. The transaction is performed in real time, at no cost to the recipient.

What are the features of Send-iMali?

  • The minimum transaction amount on NetBank Business is R50 and R10 on the Corporate Payment System (CPS).
  • The maximum transaction amount is R4 000 for both channels.
  • If sent in batches, the following cutoff times apply – 18:30 on weekdays and 13:30 on Saturdays (starting from 06:00).
  • Only single payments can be made in real time after hours and on weekends and public holidays.
  • The tiered pricing, which is aligned to ATM cash-handling fees, can be found on your pricing schedule. The full cost of Send-iMali transactions is borne by the sender.
